I need a clear copy of the Yosemite Awahnee symbol... traditional
circular indian emblem found and seen on the awhahnee hotel sign and
used as a motif in the design of all things "Awahnee" from dinnerware
to monogram sheets ect.sheets ..it is a circular emblem. The design on
plates and sheets are a simplified reduction of the original symbol.
Could you tell me where i could get a clear high def. picture of this
symbol? I have searched the web and found a tiny copy on the Yosemite
home site but too small to see the details.

Is the symbol shown on this page the one you're looking for? I want to

I found this indicating the Spencer designed the stained glass windows
of the lodge but nothing attributing the lodge "symbol" to her:

You could contact the hotel:

The Ahwahnee Reservations Office address is located at 6771 North Palm
Ave., Fresno CA 93704. and telephone number is (559)252-4848.

They should be able to point you to someone that knows more about the
history. They may be able to get you a photo. The symbol on the
hotel's web site has a Trade Mark on it. They note:

"The Ahwahnee is a luxurious hotel, opened in 1927, which has provided
every urban comfort in a rugged Sierra mountain niche. Yosemite Miwok
woven cooking baskets, linguistic symbols and decorative patterns have
been used thoroughout the Ahwahnee's rooms and halls. These have
become its trademark."

PS - thanks for posting this question. I'd never seen this beautiful hotel before.
