Question ID: 392565
Does the owner/manager of a hostel (dormitory style accomodation) have
the right to require a person to leave before their stay is up who
appears to have an eye problem (ie, runny due to medication, with
mucus on eyelid) that is certified by a doctor to be NON-CONTAGIOUS,
if a few other ppl at the hostel are concerned about getting an eye
problem themselves? This assumes everything else is in order, and
there is no intimate contact between people at the hostel.

I am primarily interested in legal rights in this regard for the guest.

The province is British Columbia, and the country is Canada. It is a
remote area, and i do not know if there is even an explicit agreement.

It would help the researchers if you mention the country/state/province.

What does your agreement with the hostel say? Probably isn't a
specific law that governs "hostel" rights/relationships. Seems that if
the hostel asks someone to leave and they do not go willingly that
would be a civil situation rather than a criminal one.
