Hello.
Estimates seem to be in the 15 to 17 percent range.
From the book, "The Innovative Lawyer" (2003):
"The general public, due largely in part to television shows and
Grisham novels, sees most attorneys as litigators, when in fact they
comprise only about 15 percent of the profession."

From the University of California at Riverside:
"In fact, a very small percentage of attorneys are full-time
litigators. The overwhelming majority of attorneys do not litigate at
all. According to our consultants, on the most liberal interpretation
possible, less than seventeen percent of the legal profession is
engaged in litigation."

search strategy:
amazon.com: "attorneys, litigators"
google: "attorneys are" litigators
I hope this helps. |
