Question ID: 392698
I am trying to shoot an independent feature film which takes place
mostly in Mexico. I will need an excellent, experienced, bilingual
line producer (or unit production manager) who knows how to operate on
a tight budget -- and keep a gringo like me out of harm's way. I also
need a similarly skilled casting director. How can I tap into those
human resources? I'm pretty sure these people probably live in Mexico
City. I can get crew names from films like"Y Tu Mama Tambien" and
"Amores Perros" on IMDB.com, but I still don't know how to reach these
people.

To the Mexican casting director who responded to my inquiry yesterday:

When I asked the GA web administrators how I could contact you, they
immediately removed your posting and informed me that this forum is
not intended for people to promote their services. I wanted to speak
you, however, so I think we should talk on the telephone. (If you are
a fraud, it will become obvious within the first five minutes.)

Please call me at 214-850-8124 and leave a message with your telephone
number. Also tell me when it is a good time to call you.

Muchas gracias......geepee53

I also found this site with some individual listings:

Production Resources in Baja California, Mexico and surrounding areas
http://www.foxbaja.com/filmbaja/Main/
and
http://www.foxbaja.com/filmbaja/Main/Facilities/prodcomp.html (line
producers & UPMs here)

If you want to reach specific people, ask the film commissions first -
they are usually very helpful. If you can't locate them that way, you
can always call the production company of a previous film they worked
on.

Good luck!
