I am in a contest and I need your help!
 The city was Laramie. The woman was seventy. And with what she
elected to do, the country was changed forever. Who was she and what
did she do?

On September 6, 1870, Mrs. Louisa Swain of Laramie became the first
woman in the United States to cast a vote in a government election.
She was seventy years old.

6, 1870. So, the first woman who voted in the United States was a
Laramie resident; she is believed to be seventy-year-old Mrs. Louisa
