Dear ckterry-ga. I am pleased to say that there are recorded for prosperity several letters between Jean-Paul Sarte and Simone de Beauvoir. I have found two books on amazon.co.uk: Witness to my Life: the letters of Jean-Paul Sartre to Simone de Beauvoir, 1926-1939 edited by Simone de Beauvoir (translated by Lee Fahnestock and Norman Macafee) Hamish Hamilton £9.99 And Letters to Sartre ~Simone de Beauvoir, Quintin Hoare (Editor) £8.99 Both these books will be found on the same page at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/274202/ref%3Dbr%5Fbx%5Fc%5F1%5F5/026-4613410-7126812 There is a review of the first book on the guardian newspaper at http://books.guardian.co.uk/reviews/classics/0,6121,96514,00.html I regret to say I have been unable to find a comprehensive web based source for the letters. I hope this is of assistance and please request any clarification if required. answerfinder-ga | |
