Hi - I am 5'5" and weigh about 143-145 pounds. I have
slim to no hips, a small chest (34C) and a broader upper body than
lower body. For example, I can wear a size 6 pant (8 is usually too
big) but a size 10 top (which, depending on the maker, can be a bit
tight at times.)I have medium-dark brown skin, brown eyes, black-brown
short hair. My shoulders are rounded (hereditarily) though I try to
maintain good posture. I constantly contend with a growing waistline
(currently about 28 -29 inches, I'm guessing but that may be a low
estimate.) My question is, what types of outfits should I look
at when buying business suits, casual clothes (for those casual days
at work) and sports outfits? One interesting thing I found is that as
far as dresses are concerned, spaghetti straps seem to work best! (go
figure!) I would have thought that I would only look broader since my
hips are small. Please help before I make some serious wardrobe faux
pas'.

I also need to add that I am 48 years old and tend to favor
conservative styles over fads.
