OnStar has the following versions of their telematics hardware:

Version 1.0 (VS-P) = Gen 1
Version 2.0 (VS-3B) = Gen 2
Version 2.6 = Gen 3
Version F1 = Gen 4
Version UA1 = Gen 5
Version UA1 Digital = Gen 6

Some of this hardware is manufactured by Delphi and some by Motorola,
but the specifications are all set by OnStar. I want to know what the
main
changes are between each generation of hardware. For example, what
are the differences in functionality and capabilites, the more
technical the descriptions the better.
