You might want to check into a recent discovery in italy, some doctor
(sorry I didn't get any details) has found a gene in 44 italians all
living in a particular village (again, never got the name) in italy,
were the people with the gene, will never get cholesterol, or suffer
heart disease etc etc because of this gene they have.

The doctors involved are attempting to isolate and artificially
reproduce the gene, unfortunetly with no success as of yet, but its
still early days. There hoping to have the perfect cure for heart
disease once they've done it, but until then, its exclusively for
those lucky 44.

Dont know if this helps you at all, as I cant recall any details, or
if its even what your after.
