I have a business plan that requires some $250,000 in startup funding
and I need to find investors/lenders who are interested in our type of
business.
We intend to use websites for selling our products seminars /
workshops / publications) using internet-driven marketing schemes. Our
company was incorporated in 1988. Since then we has developed many
workshops and Seminars, structured from reality experience as opposed
to theoretical premises. We are not guessing. We are applying the
outcomes from the results experienced by some 40,000 clients which
provides for a significant database, our programs are result oriented
and have predictable outcomes. This database has proven invaluable in
the development of human behavioural training, which in turn provides
strong support to all other workshop / seminar topics that we have
developed. After 16 years of development and testing it is now time to
capitalize on our experience and knowledge. We plan to capitalize
through the internet.
Specifically, we want to use the internet to market workshops to the "world".
There is currently little or no competition for live / interactive workshops on
the internet. Nor is there much in the way of passive / responsive workshops.
Before going any further let me define what I mean by "live / interactive", and
"passive / responsive".
- Live / Interactive.
- Enrolled groups of remote participants from "anywhere" would sign in on the
designated "pay for access" website at the appointed time.
- Through webcams and audio feeds the groups would be live and on-line with the
Program Presenter, who would be working with a live group in his studio.
- The remote participants would be fully involved with the process,
being able to ask and respond to questions, and every participant
would be able to see and be seen.
- Passive / Responsive.
- These workshops would be recorded "tapes" of previous, live, workshops.
- Remote participants would be evaluating the process through the
presentation and the questions and answers generated by participants
from the prerecorded presentation.
- If an enrolled remote participant had specific questions they could
e-mail them to the Presenter, who would provide a response prior to
the next session.
In order to be able to effectively market our products we need to
align with others to help us with the multimedia and e-commerce
aspects of this proposal, which are :
1) an Internet Service Provider / Website Manager to manage the
dedicated websites
2) an Internet Marketer with the knowledge and connections to seed the
program information with the major search engines and to have it
attached to the most popular websites
3) a Direct mail and telephone marketer to advertise our programs to
the most likely corporations
4) studio production facilities to broadcast and record the workshops
5) E-commerce capabilities which will allow us to be paid over the internet.

TECHNOLOGY

The technology we propose --- using the internet to deliver live /
interactive and passive / responsive workshops --- will allow HRS to
widely disseminate our training and behaviour modification programs, to
virtually anyone in the english-speaking world.

We are not aware of any competition in this exact field, although
there are several internet businesses selling training programs that
are passive and passive / responsive. The nearest comparable is the
American Management Association (AMA) which is a franchise style
operation which attracts approximately 700,000 clients per year,
probably generating some $200 Million in gross revenue.

To fully realize our plan we will need to contract with an Internet
Service Provider / Website Manager, an Internet Marketer, a Direct
Mail marketer, a Telemarketer, a studio production facility, and an
E-Commerce provider. What we will be looking for are more clients from
other locations throughout North America to match the profiles of the
many thousands of clients we have worked with in our very narrow
current market.

The risks would appear to be related to the marketing program since we
are currently successful in presenting workshops and seminars to our
current client base --- even though we do not have a marketing program,
and we primarily operate in a geographic area with a population of only
1 million. In fact, our current marketing "strategy" is so low key that
we literally wait until our clients request help and then we provide
the appropriate programs. Now we want to be aggressive in promoting our
skills and knowledge to the broadest possible audience. We believe the
internet will provide us with the storage and broadcast tools, while a
skilled and knowledgeable Internet Marketer will provide us with the
new clients.
