I am looking to buy a house in San Diego. I am looking for a three
bedroom, two bathroom house with between 1400 and 2000 square feet
with yard, preferably in the north part of town not too far of a drive
from the University of California San Diego (UCSD), but not super
expensive either (La Jolla). I think the area that best matches this
description is the area north of highway 274 and probably east of
interstate 5. I have no objection to areas north of UCSD. I have
spent a bunch of time looking and have had a hard time finding real
estate agents online that have online documentation of their houses in
any detail. Ideally, what I would like from Google Answers is a list
of the top five or ten online real estate agents that sell (preferably
specialize) in houses that meet my description. A second choice would
be to have the contact information of such realtors that do not have
good websites so that I could get them to fax me information.

Hi Kristen!

I've only visited San Diego once (but it was a beautiful town!) so
please forgive me if any of my geography is off.

It's good that you know almost exactly what you want, and that
definitely helps. Here are some sites that I hope may help you:

Realtor.com has thousands of properties sorted by location. You can
also do searches based on number of baths/beds/price range/square
feet, etc. The link I'm providing will bring you right to the San
Diego area site (this company is nationwide), and will have a map
where you can select your area.
http://www.realtor.com/sandiego/nbregion.asp?poe=realtor

I went ahead and filled in your search criteria, in the area just
south of LaJolla (although it appears to not be close to La Jolla, b/c
you said to stay away from that area)... here are the 5 results it
came up with:
http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListings.asp?mlsttl=San+Diego&frm=bycomm&pgnum=1&mls=sandiego&lnksrc=REALRSCF2C0002&js=on&poe=realtor&st=ca&areaid=1017420&typ=1&mnprice=0&mxprice=99999999&mnbed=3&mnbath=2&mnsqft=1400&pgsz=5&view=2&ss_fthb=n%2Fa&ss_mitm=n%2Fa&optInCheckbox=yes

If you don't like that area, you can select another one on the map, or
let me know and I'll go back for you & give you the new listings.

Remax, is another nationwide leading Real Estate company. Their link
is:
http://www.repohome.com/

Unfortunately, this site is not as specific with their criteria, you
can only search by house/condo/or apartment, and by area. In the San
Diego area I found 208 listings. Here is the link to that:
http://mlswizard.istrategy.com/mls.listing.asp?sessionGUID={6AA32507-F2F3-4131-95BA-9CB146B92148}&p=1

Here's the page of Maria Nunn, a realtor specializing in the San Diego
area. Although she offers no online searches, she does show featured
properties on line and has tons of contact information for you to find
the property you want.
Her link is:
http://www.marianunn.com/

Here's a similar site, called "Beautiful San Diego Homes" Again,
there isn't a comprehensive search online, but they give plenty of
contact information and featured homes. The link is:

http://www.beautifulsandiegohomes.com/

This next link is what seems to be a great site! Based out of San
Diego, they have "neighborhood guides" to let you know what to expect
from each location. Tons of links, FAQs and advice.... Also, a great
feature - this site will let you search by the criteria that you want,
and will e-mail you whenever a new listing is posted.

The link is:
http://www.coastalsandiego.com/

Hope I helped you Kristen... Unfortunately I'm not a researcher (still
waiting for application to be processed), so if I helped out, I would
love if you would let me know!

Good Luck in finding your new home,

-Rebekah
