Hi,
I live in Eastern Canada and just bought a 1993 Civic 2 door automatic
with less than 75,000 kms. Wow !! But, I would like to buy and put an air
conditioning in it.
Does anyone have any ideas where to purchase a A/C in Canada or US.
I would be happy to take a mini vacation and have it installed by
whoever or whatever dealer, salvage has one.
How do I find one ?? As you know, these cars were not made after 2000.

Please reply,
Dennis of PEI, Canada

Hi Dennis....

I am the owner of a 1994 automatic, 2 door Honda Civic SI. I'm in
eastern Ontario. My air conditioning puked a couple of years ago. I
never bothered to have it fixed because we just don't get the hot
sweltering summer days it seems we used to. I have a sunroof that
keeps the air circulating quite nicely. Good luck!!

So,
Are you interested in having your puked A/C unit removed and selling it ?

Hi again Dennis....

My broken air conditioning system is now illegal. At least here in
Ontario. It ran on the now - banned freon. Hope I spelled that right:(
Thats another reason I never bothered to get it fixed. No one would do
it & I would have had to buy a whole new system for a couple of
thousand $$'s. Not worth it, at least not here.

If i were you i would cheaked a salvage yard for your airconditoner.
And if freon is illegal there you can purchase a conversion kit fairly
cheap. You might check thou i don't know about there but the laws
useually are grandfathered in i.e. my brother had a jeep and it didn't
come equipped with seatbelts when it was made. He was actually given a
ticket for this but at the court house they through it out.
