Question ID: 394103
When will Canon release the new canon eos D1s Mark 2? I am interested
because the current D1s has a pixel resolution of 11 megapixels. The
new camera is rumored to be in the range of 14 to 16 megapixels. A
35mm SLR with 14 to 16 mexapixels will produce great detail when
printed out in large format, which I need. To buy that type of
resolution at the moment requires a Hasselblad digital engine at over
$20,000 purchase price. A new Canon D1s Mark 2 is likely to be priced
around $7,000 -$8,000. Given the huge price differential I am
prepared to wait. My question is how long must I wait?
Best regards, Dickon
