I have installed collegelinux in my system, but after installation i
was unable to see the environment. The monitor displayed an error
message "out of range". I want you to please show me how to correct
that error so that i can access the collegelinux i have installed

The problem is the resolution set by the video card (by X11) is not
compatible with the monitor.

Try cycling through the different monitor resolutions keeping pressed
control and alt keys and pressing numberpad +  (or minus) key a few
times (with a few seconds between each press of the + or -), selecting
the best resolution that works.
