I too am 40 and considering a career change in landscape design. I live in Chicago, Illinois and was looking into the Chicago Botanic Garden program. I have heard good things about this program, but not sure about the employment opportunities from a certification vs. a Masters in Landscape Architecture. I have an undergrade from DePaul here in Chicago. And the only school that I can see for a landscape program is in Urbana, Illinois which isn't conducive for someone who has to work full time and attend school in Chicago. Any comments on the employment opportunities of one program versus the other? |

Hi- At 39 and ready for career change number #4, I am very interested in Landscape/Garden Design. I reside in Chicago and am considering several area programs. Northwestern School of Continuing Studies and Chicago Botanic Garden 2004-05. Anyone in the area is encouraged to contact me. |
