Our web site shows up on Google when a general seach is done for one
of our key words " Milk Paint" but when a seach is done on the google
tool bar for our web site directly  www.realmilkpaint.com  Google say
it does not have any information about this site . Why is this ? If
there is something wrong with our page I will change .

Is this a recent change? Has your site been previously indexed? Have
you ever seen the "Cached" link on your listing? As much history as
you can give us would be helpful.

Answers Researchers are independent contractors, not official Google
employees, so we don't speak officially for the search engine,
however, those of us who answer these type of questions are
knowlegeable in the field, and can often help "diagnose" problems. Any
additional information you can provide about the problem can help us

I just noticed this today , so I am not sure how recient it is.I do
not know what you mean by the "cached" listing.  Our site has or had
been indexed on google for years . We did have a incident where we
hired a company called Traffic Power for about 10 days. During that
time unbeknown to me they added redirects and doorway page to our site
. I did not know what these extra page were at the time . Because of
their work our site was temporarly banned from google . We always had
a  fair ranking on google and the only change we made was allowing
them to access or site . We quickly dumped all the code they added and
reverted our site to the way it was. I then resumitted our site to
google and asked them to take our site off the banned list. It took
about two weeks but one day we show up on the search "milk paint"
again . All this happened about 2 -3 months ago. We have been on the
net for about 6 years .

As on today (Tuesday, August 31st), full site information seems to be back.

There have been several tweaks to the Google PR algorithm in August.
Sites have partially or fully disappeared, then been returned to the
SERPs a few days or weeks later. I would guess this is part of a
testing phase.
