Hi philhunter,
What exactly would you like to find?
Do you want to buy a double barrel shotgun?
What are brunelles and acier marteli?
When you have a chance to respond to this, please just ask a question
in regular conversation format, for example "I am looking for XYZ . .
. etc".
Thanks for your help.

I am trying to find who made this shot gun and a range of values. the
gun is a side by side, 16 ga, with 26 inch barrels. the name
brunelles is on the top side of the barrels and the name "acier
marteli" is on the underside of the barrels. the gun has two triggers
and a solid rib. the gun is relative new, 1930 to 1990, not an
antique, use of very modern machine work and good quality steel.
appears to have better than average wood with a high gloss finish.
thanks phil

Are you sure it is not 'acier martelli'? Given the names, the shotgun
seems to be of french origin... Good luck with your search!

Acier means steel in French. That's all I found on Babelfish, a
translating web site. You can look at it if you have more French words
to translate:

http://babelfish.altavista.com

I found a similar shotgun on Gunbroker.com, but you have to use a
special search. Type "acier" into the search box and check the box
labelled "Search Item Titles and Descriptions", then click Search.

Start on Gunbroker.com:
http://www.gunbroker.com

You should find this item for $400 that is a bit like yours:
http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=4564778

There is a picture too. You could ask the seller of that shotgun for
more information on it because it might be just like yours.
From the auction item page, click "Ask seller a question" or use this
link:
http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/SendMailToUserForm.asp?User=128526&Item=4564778

I don't have an answer but I hope this helps. Just a guess -- it's
French made, you might never know by who exactly, and it might sell
for $375.
