Are you referring to worldwide or in a specific country?

Sorry about that. I meant to specify the U.S. domestic market. I'm
trying to assemble as much info as possible on the domestic business
lodging market. I'm doing a research paper on corporate use of hotels
and their effects on the hospitality market. Current statistics are
most relevant although some historic figures would also be helpful.
Thanks.

Researchers typically do not try for part of an answer unless they
think they can find all parts of the question. Perhaps the 20 TOP
travel destinations is not critical to the analysis? The researcher
might choose NYC, LA, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Cleaveland, Chicago,
Washington DC, Dalas/Fortworth, San Fransisco and a few other likely
in the top 30. I should think the occupency and daily rates should be
available, but the criteria will vary somewhat ie are motels near
Newark, N.J. to be luumped with metropolitian NYC for rate and
occupency?. Perhaps NYC should be treated as 7 separate cities, since
travelers often choose lodging within minutes of their business
destination? Business traveler may be double the number of corporate
travelers, so it will be difficult to separate out the non-business
travelers, government travelers, military travelers, vacationers and
muti-purpose trips, but that is perhaps unecessary to your analysis?
