I am looking for specific malpractice Lawyers that have represented
patients that have sued Doctors and or Hospitals for misdiagnosing
Piriformis Syndrome. Causing great financial loss and years of
disability to the patient. I do not need information on disability
claims for piriformis syndrome or if a doctor or nurse caused
Piriformis syndrome. Also I do not need how people get piriformis
syndrome or what are the treatment options. Past trial cases would be
fine. This information can come from anywhere in the U.S. but I would
perfer the State of Michigan. I have looked in many searched engines
and typed in the words, "Malpractice suits for piriformis syndrome"
with no luck.

nene1-ga,

Just wanted to let you know that I looked...but didn't find any.

Given the status of Piriformis Syndrome in the medical community -- it
is not broadly accepted as a "real" disease -- it might prove very
difficult to convince a lawyer to go ahead with a malpractice case
that centered on this particular problem.

This is just my top of the head opinion of course -- and I am neither
a medical nor a legal professional -- but it might be worth some
consideration.

Let us know if you would consider any other sort of information on
Piriformis Syndrome as an answer to your question.

Thanks...and best of luck.

Thank you, But I do not need information on the Piriformis syndrome.
I just need lawyers that have handled it and or cases that are
simliar.

nene1-ga,

After a lot of looking, I feel I can safely say there do not appear to
be any readily available malpractice cases involving piriformis
syndrome.

I have found a handful of cases where piriformis syndrome came into
play in disability cases, workers comp, accident insurance coverage
and the like. These are the only cases I can identify where this
particular syndrome was a factor.

Let me know if these cases are of interest, and if so, what sort of
information about them you would like to have.

Thank you.

You probably won't find an attorney who will take this kind of case
based on the misdiagnosis alone:

"Because the diagnosis usually is elusive, missing the diagnosis does
not constitute malicious negligence and, therefore, rarely would be
sufficient grounds alone for a medical malpractice lawsuit."
