I need the US Armed Forces demographic data for the 50 states, broken
down by state, but not necessarily by branch of service. A map
showing percentages would be best. (I.E. 10% of all people in the US
Armed Forces come from California, etc.). I would do not consider the
CIA or Foriegn Service to be part of this search.

Hello jhlyons3-ga,

I have found the following data:

- The percent distribution of active duty military and direct hire
civilian personnel, by state.
- Active duty military and direct hire civilian personnel, by
installation or selected city.

This data is as of September 30, 2003 and is presented in tables. It
is from a government source and is broken down by branch.

Would this be sufficient to answer your question?
