Is there info: Capt. John E. London and KY Detachment-Spies, War-1812?

I haven't found anything yet, but I'll keep looking, and I encourage
other Researchers to do the same.

In the meantime, two requests for clarification:

I've seen several references to "Dubois' Battalion Mounted Spies,
Kentucky Volunteers." Do you know whether this was the unit in which
Capt. London served, or was it something else?

Do you know what the middle initial "E." stood for?

The only other clue I have is that Joseph Dalrymple(sp) is first on
the rost-
er of Kentucky Mounted Volunteers under Capt. Wickcliffe, Col. Renick,
the
unit attached to Col. Wm. Russell's regiment of U.S. regulars and is a
bit
later associated with the Kentucky Detachment of Spies under Capt.
John
E. London. Try Edwin and Edward for the "E." The first roster was
dated the Autumn of 1813. Thanks, petey-ga

It's not much information, and I have no idea whether it is accurate.
But perhaps it's a clue to the information you want.

Scott,
Thank you for this lead; I don't know that it's THE London, but it's a great
clue since he was fighting and even wounded in the War of 1812. I'll set
out tracking. Thank you. Petey
