We are looking for a foundry that is capable of supplying relatively
small batch quantities of machined LG2 gun metal castings, approx. 1 -
5 Kg weight per piece in quantities from 200 - 500 per batch. They
must have an excellent track record of exporting to known European or
US water or steam valve OEM companies and have reconised quality
assurance systems in place i.e. ISO 9000-2000. Their engineers must
speak first rate English and be available to meet our design enginees
at any time. We are not interested in high cost suppliers from the
West i.e. Western Europe and or North America as economies in these
countries results in uneconomic prices.
It is vital that all the above criteria is clearly stated in a
companies profile before we can spend time talking with them as there
are thousands of foundries out there but only a very few will be a
good fit for us.

I sent out many e-mails to foundries that seemed to have a chance of
meeting your needs. The message I sent was your exact requirement as
stated in your question. So far I have only heard back from one. Here
is some of what they have said in their reply:

Many thanks for showing interest in our sister concern, kindly note we
can meet your requirement, we are able to do casting and machining
from LG2 gunmetal. We have attained ISO 9001-2000 recently, you can
always contact us by e-mail.

We are Indian foundry with specialization in LG2 and Bronze castings.
We have documented quality system and export to UK and USA.

As for speaking English in India it is a second nature.

Would you like me to post this foundry as your answer. It sounds like
a perfect match to me.

I have done a bit of looking my self, and with the limited time
available was able to uncover what looked like a potential source at
http://www.brass-fittings-india.com/profile.htm and at
http://brassbronzecastings.8bit.co.uk/foundryfoundries1.htm However I
have put them forward as a possible source to our manufacturing
manager who informs me that he has already checked them out and that
they are not suitable after all. Unfortunately he is on holiday so I
cannot find out more criteria. Was either of these the same as your
potental supplier ? If not forward me the details and I'll take this
as your answer.

This is pretty funny. All roads in India seem to lead right back to
the name "Shah". The Shah family must own every foundry in India. So,
I think even though the company I have info on has a seemingly
different name, it is actually the same.
