Last year my mother had a very bad experience in Beauvais
Cathedral. She has always picked up good and bad feelings about places
but never before had she been affected so strongly. Twice she tried to
enter and twice she had to be dragged out by my father, as although
she began weeping hysterically ,she was too terrified to move. Her
remaining feelings of the event is one of "gotcha" ,the person she
felt she was running from had her trapped. They could not find anyone
to ask about it. Obviously old churches and Cathedrals are very old
and would have a lot of stories to tell, I just wonder if there is one
that would fit her feelings more than others. Thanks

Brettquest, yes that is exactly what i am looking for, thanks, Ali.
Pinkfreud ,I am pretty sure it wasn't a panic attack for a few
different reasons, after it happened the first time they left and went
to a different church where she was fine.On returning later exactly
the same thing happened. She had been fine all day before that and has
never felt anything like it before or since(although she does pick up
feelings about people and places). She is a very level headed person
and although it is possible that it was a panic attack, somehow it
just doesn't fit her.Thanks,Ali

I mean no disrespect, but it sounds to me as if your mother had a
panic attack. Rather than seeking supernatural explanations for such
events, she might benefit from a visit to a physician. There are
medications that can make life easier for her.

According to the Bible, there is no existence after death for people
who die. Just a period of non-existence until God resurrects us, and
then not all of us. Example, any who sinned against the spirit, such
as Judas Escariot, who betrayed Jesus. Scriptures to indicate this are
at Psalms 146;4...his thoughts do perish...Ecclesiastes 3;19..Mans
eventuality is the same as the animals. Ecclesiastes 9;10...no work,
devising, knowledge or wisdom in the grave. and verses 5 & 6..the dead
are conscious of nothing at all. So what [?] is haunting the
cathedral. It must be demons or wicked spirits, the same type as
mentioned in Luke 8; 26 to 33. The deomons who were in the man, and
were ordered out by Jesus, then begged to be allowed into a herd of
pigs, and in turn this herd rushed over a cliff to destruction. And
are demons with us today?. The Bible says yes. Revelation 12;7-9 and
12. For those who search the Bible, these frightening phenomena are
explained. But that leaves another question. Why is a demon
"comfortable" in a cathedral? Does it really [?] have God`s blessing?.
