Dear scannerhelp,

Metanetics used to be a subsidary of Telxon Corp., which is now
Symbol. They are now responsible for support of former Metanetics
products, including the IR-2000 scanner. Unfortunately, the IR-2000
has been discontinued, and there is no software available anymore on
the website.
Under these circumstances, would contact information for their support
department meet your needs?

I apologize for the erroneous answer I gave earlier. I asked the
editors to withdraw it, and they have done so.
