Question ID: 396217
Windows XP and Word 2002 -I continue to have blue screens, black
screens, and freezes, even after an unistall/reinstall of Office 2002.
Help! What do you suggest? Blue screeens are polite version of the old
Fatal Error; black screens means screen goes suddenly black; freezes
come at any time; CTRL_ALT_DEL is useless in all cases.

I'm not going to answer your question, but I think it might be useful
if you added what type of computer you have (down to the model number,
CPU, RAM)? How long have you been using it? What software/hardware you
may have installed recently before you had this problem? And if your
computer is properly configured with anti-virus/firewall software?

Personally, if I had to take a wild stab in the dark, I would guess
that the power supply is faulty or of a low quality.

Personally, I think it sounds like a foul normal.dot file. Please read
Word Troubleshooting at www.theofficeexperts.com/word.htm. Take the
steps as they are given until the problem is resolved.
