Looking for detailed information on how commonwealth bank along or any
other major financial institutions in Australia find out who is the
owner of a property title (ie: the company that provides this
information or the system they use to obtain it) along with other
credit information.

please don't hesitate to ask.

In Australia, banks such as Commonwealth can retrieve property
information from the state's respsective government office that
handles property titles.  For example, in Queensland, the Commonwealth
is linked electronically to the Department of Natural Resources, where
they're able to look up various data on property titles.  In certain
states, this data is not available electronically, and must be
retrieved via a hardcopy method only.  In certain instance, the
information is given to a bank by another bank, as in the case of a
mortgage transfer.
