One of the most popular sites I know of for watching short films online is AtomFilms (http://www.atomfilms.com) You might want to consider submitting your film there. The submission page is: http://www.atomshockwave.com/asw_working_devinfo_film.htm I don't know what rights you'd be giving up if they were to accept your film, so you'd have to talk with them or get a Google Researcher to help with that info. There are about 3 million film views per month on the site. I have no idea how many films are on the site, but it looks to be around 1000, which would mean, on average, a film might be viewed 3000 times per film per month. However, I would guess that a very high percentage of all views would be for short clips that appear in the "top 5" list for popular categories. Due to the length of your film, I think it will be extremely difficult to get 10000 viewings (of the whole film), whether on AtomFilms or somewhere else, but who knows. Hopefully a Google Researcher will have some more suggestions for you. |

Thanks pianoboy77, but atomfilms are interested in shorter movies. I already have two distribution methods which have already delivered over 20000 viewings (so it's not extremely difficult) but I'm in search of new ones. |

I think ifilm.com has a broad distribution. Since you aren't telling us how you currently distribute, I could be duplicating something you already know... You might also try movieflix.com |

OK, I don't understand why ifilm.com is out of the question, neither movieflix.com. Both provide a WIDE range of films- length, provider, type of content. Otherwise, use a traffic generator for your own hosting, like trafficswarm.com or some such. I am not a GA researcher. |

crythias, these sites are not appropriate due to the nature of the content of the movie. I'm looking for something with little to no censorship. |

I don't know what level of censorship you're experiencing. Based on what I've seen at both places, there is not much to be left to the imagination. There are movies like "Birth of a Nation" and adult movies. There are really hard core slasher films and time pieces. So .. if the content isn't racy or racist, what type of content are you going to distribute? If it's illegal to talk about, then you may be asking the question in the wrong place. I think you'd be mad at a Researcher who gave these types of options as an Answer, although they also would have as hard time giving you an Answer. "Somewhat controversial" doesn't give any clue as to what content you're trying to distribute, and "heavy censorship" doesn't give any clue as to what the distribution would prevent. So, what is it? Political, Pot, or Porn? If you want no censorship, try an "Adult" site anyway. I'm sure there is probably some market for your product... not knowing what the product is other than "movie" puts a damper on answering the question. Figure out your market, which you already know, and seek the leaders in that market. Otherwise, just advertise the heck out of it. |
