Question ID: 396636
What percentage of sales (all gross revenue coming in) does Dell spend
on marketing (meaning not just their advertising costs, but also
internet mktg costs (google adwords), printing and lettershop
services, postage, tradeshow spending, sponsorships, discounts from
partner programs).
(I couldn't find it in their SEC filing, only "Advertising Expenses",
which seemed to include catalog printing etc. but it doesn't seem to
include important things like actual advertising in other
publications.)
If you can't find the answer for Dell, doing it for 2 or 3 other large
direct marketers like Gateway, CDW, Mall (macmall, pcmall), mac/pc
connection, ll bean, etc.) would be fine too.
