I am looking for a work of art up to 24" x 30" that depicts wrapped
presents, ribbon...perhaps a woman carrying some presents, perhaps
some puppies with ribbons around their necks and some presents on a
table. But NOT XMAS!
It's for a client's "Wrapping Room"..not rapping...wrapping! |

You are getting close but she doesn't want such an obvious christmas
scene and because she's not a mother I don't she wants the kids. I
did find one image through bruce McGraw entitled "Les Bonbons Jacquin"
which she liked but it was too retro - but she liked the idea of a
woman holding presents. If you can look at that piece you will get a
better idea of the direction she wants to go in. Perhaps something
more traditional looking...turn of the century perhaps

Bobbi -
you are doing great by the way but I just wondered if we could find
something a little more...how can I say...refined looking...her home
is very classical looking...lots of russian icon paintings and turn of
the century oils and tapestries, even though they are trying to be a
little more casual in this part of the house, I would like to find a
painting of a beautiful, energetic looking woman carrying a pile of
wrapped presents...on the street...in a room...something a little
glamerous looking without being too pretentious...does that help?

Perhaps a Custom Oil Painting would be a good alternative.

If possible, the client would rather not commission an artwork. If
there are any more classical-looking paintings (any reasonable size)
of a woman holding presents.....that would be great. Or a scene
inside a room with presents, but not children-orientated. Thanks

I am also looking for an ecclesiastical landscape painting about 60" x
35". It can be a cathedral, architecture, symbols etc. I don't want
"face/portrait" paintings.

The pieces you are showing me are just too cutesy! I'm sorry, she has
more sophisticated taste. I suggested you looking at this one image I
found entitled les bonbons in The Bruce McGraw catalogue. It's a very
20's style poster, but she loved the idea of it, just not the fact
that it was a poster and a jester was holding the presents. Something
Wayne Thiebaud-like (but not the price!)
Thanks

Dear Fifihere,
Unfortunately I have not been able to locate something more
appropriate. This question is still open and hopefully another
researcher will find a suitable painting for you.
Sincerely,
Bobbie7
