Hello!

I am looking for a list of about 12 Universities (in the U.S.) that
offer a Master of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
and offer an opportunity to do research work in embedded systems and
also teach courses on this topic.

Thanks, in advance.

I used to work with Wind River, one of the leaders in embedded
technology at least when I was there in the early 1990s. Their
software is used in Mars landers, anti-lock brakes, traffic light
controls, banking systems and much more.

Their web site has some lists of univeristies doing research and
classes on embedded technology. They give grants and software to these
places:

http://www.windriver.com/universities/universities-research.html

http://www.windriver.com/universities/universities-classroom.html

http://www.windriver.com/universities/participating-universities.html

The last list list has about 20 US schools listed as doing classroom
work though the classroom page has less listed but more detail on the
areas of work. I suspect many of the ones doing research have graduate
level embedded systems classes in addition to the research programs.

"Software donations are available to colleges and universities with
curricula and/or research projects in embedded technology and related
topics. The donated licenses are for non-profit, educational use by
full-time students and professors. Donations are possible for both
classroom and research applications."
