You're probably running an older application (Windows 95) on a newer
OS, such as Windows 2000 or XP. You can try running the application in
compatibility mode, by finding the .exe file, right-clicking on it,
then select properties. In the newly opened properties window, select
the compatibility tab and choose "Run this program in compatibility
mode for Windows 95". More likely than not, this will not work, so you
can also try to re-install the entire program for compatiblity by
going to Start -> Accessories -> Program Compatibility Wizard.

Did you upgrade from an older operating system to a newer one? ie.
from Windows 98 to Windows XP? This can often cause problems of this
type! although this might seem like an extreme measure, one could just
do a clean format (make sure that you have backups or partition your
drive beforhand) and then doing a full install of your current OS(im
presuming XP).
