I run a comic shop in Singapore. Trade paperbacks and graphic novels
are part of the products we offer. Currently, we get our comics from
the main distributor in US, Diamond Comic Distributor. Our discount is
50 to 55% off. After counting in the freight, our cost per book is 1
to 1, i.e. US$1 = 1 SGD, eg. A book retailing in the US for US$10
would cost about S$10 to get here, freight included. However,
currently, the cheapest trade paperbacks & graphic novels can be found
at a flea market in Singapore, going for US$1 to S$1. What I would
like to find out is: Who out there is cheaper than Diamond Comic
Distributors when it comes to wholesaling current graphic novels, i.e.
who is this chap getting from? I have heard he buys from a discount
book wholesaler, but as yet, I have not been able to track this
company down.
