The story you are interested in is one about Geraldine Cox, an
Australian secretary who while in Cambodia in the 1970s fell in love
with Major Om Kon, a Cambodian Pilot. Geraldine went on to found and
run an orphanage in Phnom Penh. Her story has been the focus of a lot
of attention recently, including the following programs/documentaries:
ABC's "Australian Story" (July 15th) series ran an episode recently
