I am one of the organisers of the forthcoming World Youth Congress.
The event will be held in Scotland July 30th - August 8th 2005. The
event will be attended by over 600 young people (18-25) from over 100
countries worldwide. The main themes are world sustainability,
education, equality, community and health. Part of our organisation
involves identifying
international celebrities (actors, musicians etc)who are supporters of
environmental, peace, sustainable activities. We would like to
approach them to support our event by either attending as speakers,
offering a message/letter of support or donating a personal item to be
auctioned for good causes.
Please can anybody assist in
1. Identification of the stars who support such causes
2. Methods of establishing contact with them or their representatives |

Hello Raybugg,
I wonder how many celebrities do you target to get for this event? Any
specific celebrities you already have in mind so the results won't be
needlessly repeated?

Hi!
The difficult part here is the contact information. Would just the
list suffice even without the contact information?
Thanks!

List I have gained so far with contact info:-
Name
Michael Moore
Sir Bob Geldof
Sting
Annie Lennox
Eurythmics
Susan Sarandon
Tim Robbins
Would prefer to have contact details of agent or publicist of more
people. Could also include high profile public figures also.
Celebrities have to be current and popular worldwide. (No has beens!)

Dear Ray Bugg,
Thank you for the list of people, these are the type of people I
thought of anyways, so it's good to know we're on the same page.
I'll repeat Techtor's question - how many celebrities are you
exepcting as an answer?
There is no real problem with contact details. However, it is possible
that the contact details are in a database that requires extra-fees.
In this case, it would be also copyright protected, meaning that even
if I have the access to this database, I would not be able to post it
here as an answer, just to send you there. So, my second question is,
whether you'll accept reference to a reliable for-a-fee database with
contact details? (of course, this would be done only in case that
there is no free public access to this information).

I would ideally like 75-100 names and the activity they support. A
link or reference to a website with the contact details is acceptable.
