I'm looking for three bits of information on Everton Toffee - first made by Molly Bushell (1746 - 1818) in Everton, England. I would like to purchase a Everton Toffee tin, if there's a tin (candy tin) collector store online. Can you help me to locate an Everton Toffee tin? The next best would be a photograph of the Everton Toffee tin. It's my understanding that the candy recipe left the Bushell family and was sold to the NOBLETTS company in 1894. Somehow the Barker & Dobson company had the recipe and wrapped the Everton toffee around a mint (Everton Mints). The Barker & Dobson company was/is ? now owned by Trebor Basset. My next questions - how can I contact the company historians at the Trebor Basset or Barker & Dobson companies? Can you locate the mailing address for either. Finally - is there a candy or confection museum in England where I can later get background information? Thank you - |

Hello, kyraeh. You might do well to subdivide this into several separate questions, priced appropriately. As it stands, a Researcher would have to find many disparate pieces of information in order to post an answer. Failure to find even one of these pieces of information will mean that the Researcher earns nothing for his or her labors. Given the risk, many Researchers may not want to attempt a multi-part project that is all posted as one question. Here is a piece of information that might be useful: Trebor Bassett is now a subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes. |

Thanks for the comments. I'm very open and have always paid when someone has made an effort (from my historical questions) as well as provided a tip. I'm not sure how to cancel a question to split them into separate ones once the orginal question is live. I do appreciate your comments! |
