I need someone to write six (almost identical) executable program to control an X10 Powerlinc Module connected to the COM1 serial port. Upon completion, I will use the programs within a PowerPoint presentation to control lights. I will use housecode B and unit code 2,3 and 4 with on and off for each unit. The first program will be to turn B2 on; second program will turn B2 off; third, B3 on; fourth, B3 off; fifth, B4 on; and sixth B4 off. RESOURCES: ? The X10 TW523 technical manual is available online at http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/MAN1136.pdf. ? The PowerLinc programming manual is available online at http://www.smarthome.com/1132.html. I will be using these programs in a Windows XP environment. I do not have access to any programming language. You may recommend additional resources that I may use in the future to edit these executable files to broaden my ability to control additional modules. Thanks! |

You can download an opensource (free) application that does exactly what you are describing from here: http://mscm17a.sourceforge.net/ I use it and it works just fine. |
