Question ID: 397596
I need someone to write six (almost identical) executable program to
control an X10 Powerlinc Module connected to the COM1 serial port.
Upon completion, I will use the programs within a PowerPoint
presentation to control lights. I will use housecode B and unit code
2,3 and 4 with on and off for each unit. The first program will be to
turn B2 on; second program will turn B2 off; third, B3 on; fourth, B3
off; fifth, B4 on; and sixth B4 off.

RESOURCES:
? The X10 TW523 technical manual is available online at
http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/MAN1136.pdf.
? The PowerLinc programming manual is available online at
http://www.smarthome.com/1132.html.

I will be using these programs in a Windows XP environment. I do not
have access to any programming language. You may recommend additional
resources that I may use in the future to edit these executable files
to broaden my ability to control additional modules.
Thanks!

You can download an opensource (free) application that does exactly
what you are describing from here: http://mscm17a.sourceforge.net/

I use it and it works just fine.
