Maybe try "Just For Men" or a similar product that older guys use to
color their beards and sideburns? You kind of paint it on with a
little paddle. My husband did this to darken his beard for Hallowe'en
one year. It might be just the thing for a little color for very
short hair that is growing out. Be careful not to leave it on too
long or it gets really dark!

Once you've got some length, you can just use one of the regular
commercial hair coloring products like L'Oreal or have it done
professionally.

If you have difficulty dyeing your grey hair, you might want to give
serious consideration to leaving it grey. Hair color isn't the only
factor that people use in judging your age. My husband has had a
glorious mane of pale grey hair for years, and people typically take
him for a man twenty years younger than his actual age
(fiftysomething). I think what gives him the youthful "feel" is his
enthusiasm and bright eyes.

I've been told that I look younger than my true age, too. The
appearance of our outsides is greatly affected by the emotional,
mental, and spiritual components of our insides.

PinkFreud is definitely right that attitude and demeanor count for
more than looks or hair color. Enthusiasm does project a youthful
attitude, along with openness to new things and a desire to learn
(even when you're an established expert). Every new situation has
something to teach.

Moreover, some job situations are very hospitable to seasoned
veterans. One job my husband took had so many youngsters that he told
them he was there to provide adult supervision. He's currently
working among a lot of greybeards whose careers have given them plenty
of experience to bring to bear on the present project.

Don't be afraid of looking your age. Old is younger than it used to
be; when our grandparents or even our parents were our age, they were
a lot older than we are now.

P.S. to Steph: I don't know--Bryan says the only animal he's bringing
is Daisy. I think that lets us out. He better have a long cord on
his power supply so he can stay in touch. --Tryx
