Well, a quick search of a worldwide library holdings catalog turns up two libraries holding the libretto to the show. (I'm not privvy to the holdings info. If you would like to follow this through I suggest that you visit the nearest large public or academic library in your area that an inter library loan dept and ask them to do an OCLC search for you--the control number is 9812815.) Only two libraries in the world have online holdings for it--it's pretty obscure--even the cataloging library -- the New Orleans Public Library -- seems to have withdrawn the title from its collection. Anyway, the musical "Swinging High" was copyrighted 1960. The main author entry title was by "Paul Weirick" b. 1906 - He seems to be the composer -- Google his name - you'll be able to find info and such-- some of his other scores on ebay as well. Other authors are Mary Lacey and Al Polhamus. Can't find other info for they. It was published in Hollywood (assume Calif.) by Prom Pub. Co. with a copyright date of 1960. -- |
