Question ID: 398071
I would like to find out all the university located in metro-toronto,
Canada, which are offering chemistry courses with the following
information :
1. The address, telephone number, fax number , name of person with
their e-mail address of the one in charge of admission for student
presently taking up International Baccalaureate program.
2. All the prerequisites subjects needed for admission.
Clarification question-- I have searched the website of university of
Toronto which is at www.adm.utoronto.ca/adm/adm_intl_req/adm_IB_req.htm
and found out that the prerequisites is either Math HL or Math methods
with Calculus option.
This year the IB program has only two choices for the IB diploma- Math
HL and Math SL ( new name) . Must find out for certainty whether the
new Math SL under IB is really the equivalent of the former Math
methods with Calculus option which is the prerequisites for Sciences(
Chemistry) under the University of Toronto website. My daugther who is
presently studying at Brent International School in Manila,
Philippines( grade 11) is taking up Math HL and is planning to go
lower level to Math SL to have better grades but we like to be certain
that by doing so, she will not be disqualify for taking the wrong
prerequisite. The senior admissions counsellor is absent this week and
we Have a hard time to connect to someone else who can answer my
question with certainty.
This is main reason for this question which is posted.
Our main concern and priority is information applicable for
University of Toronto located at St George Campus, but would also need
clarification on other university like University of Toronto at
Scarborough and Mississauga and other universities located at
Metro-Toronto offering Bachelor in science for chemistry.

I can get the answer to my question( regarding definition of Match SL-
whether it is the exact equivalent of " Math methods with calculus
option " ? ) by Sept 14, when the senior admissions counsellor will be
back to the office. By then, I will be able to check the correctness
of the answer which I expect to receive within a few days. However, my
daugther is planning to make the decision within a day or two ( to
change to Math SL from Math HL ), that is why I post this question
today because I need a quick and correct answer .A reseacher in Canada
can make a telephone call to University of Toronto tel 1(416)978-2190
Would be very unhappy to get a wrong answer to the above very
important question-therefore, should not assume or quess .

The 1st question regarding names, tel, name of admission contact
persons and their e-mail address of other universities in
Metro-Toronto offering bachelor of science in Chemistry are less
important .

Thanks for the help

What I mean is list of universities in Metro-Toronto offering degrees
in chemistry, not just courses in Chemistry.

Every one of the schools will most likely offer chemistry courses.
All of them might not, however, offer degrees in chemistry. I would
suggest you just do a google search. Go directly to the schools'
websites and see for yourself. Save yourself some money.

Good Luck.
