I'm looking for a site I've seen in the last couple of years that
reviews roadhouse diners/restaurants by state for the nation. It
rates the restaurants and allows interstate highway travelers to
identify what restaurants might be along their travel routes.

Hi gogo_dad,

I have located the following site which seems to fit your description.
However since I cannot be certain it's the one you remember, please
take a look at it and let me know if it is the one.

http://www.dinercity.com/

Rainbow

Hi.
Thanks for response, but this is not the site. The site in question
was auhored by a man and possibly his wife who gave their own personal
reviews of all the diners as opposed to soliciting them from readers.
They identified the specialties of the house. The site was not so
dependent on the archetecture and visual appearance of the diners as
much as the food.

The word "roadhouse" was emphasised. I seem to recall that they also
spent some introduction time writing about Route 66 and how it paved
the way for the phenomena(not positive on this).

Thanks for your prompt response.

I think you might be looking for www.roadfood.com, produced by Jane
and Michael Stern (who have also written a lot of cookbooks based on
their travels.)
