Hi johnkoonmen, To disable programs from running automatically when you start your computer, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type Msconfig, and then press Enter. 2. On the Startup tab, you'll see a list of all the programs and processes that are set to run when Windows XP loads. 3. Clear the check box next to any item you think you don't need. 4. Click Apply, and then restart your computer for the changes to take effect. I hope this helps. If you have any questions regarding my answer please don?t hesitate to ask before rating it. Best regards, Rainbow |

The above will keep them from being run at start up, but doesn't delete the program. If you also need to delete the program entirely, check the add/remove programs in Control Panel, but some things, such as adware or spyware, won't be found there. A good spyware removal program can help with those. Some examples are Ad-Aware and Spybot. |
