I used to date a Texan, and believe you me, not EVERYTHING is bigger.

Easy question. It's done with mirrors.

I thought it started as a Comment.

When Texans were introduced to something out of state, they reputedly
often made this observation, so it then passed into legend.

Like all good Comments.

Next time a Texan tells you that, inform them that Alaska is twice the
size of their state. That always pleases them immensely.

Everything may be bigger in Texas, but Biggar is in Scotland!

Two Texans are talking about their ranches, and doing a bit of bragging...

Texan #1: Why...I can hop in my pickup, and it still takes me dang
near all day to drive from one end of my ranch to the other.

Texan #2: Yup! I had a truck like that, once.

If Texans get too far out of line, Alaska will split into two states
and make Texas the "third" largest.

From a book called "Texas Brags:" - "Texas - a place where you can
drive farther and see less than anywhere else in the world."

Actually, I like texas. When I was a kid, I used to spend my summers
on a ranch just outside Denton. Today the ranch is gone and it is all
sub-division.

I still have my "Texas Brags" book from almost 50 years ago.
