Where can I find the results for the men's triathlon at the World
Masters Games held in Brisbane, Australia in 1994.  It was held on 8 October 1994.

I looked through some online archives of Australian newspapers, but
the results of the Games -- geared towards older athletes -- were not
widely reported on, other than mention of a couple of heart-attacks,
and the performance of a 101-year old swimmer who came to the games
equipped with with a note from her doctor.

Just wanted you to know you weren't being ignored...good luck with this one.

HI, thanks for your interest.  I too had a similar experience.  There
were about 200 odd reports in the Brisbane newspaper at the time of
the games but no daily results. It does seem a little odd that an
event which requires quite a good deal of organisation and is
internationally advertised can slip into oblivion whn the flag comes
down.  I do have a library working on it at the moment as well as the
head athletics organisation in Australia.  A Holy Grail it seems

Thankyou, but do you know whether this book would have the full
results of each event or just the medal tally per country.  It is the
result of a particular competitor I am interested in and not the
overall performance of any one country.

I can't say for sure about the content of the book, though.  A library
that owns the book may be willing to look through the book for your
person.  Perhaps a researcher can locate a copy depending on what part
of the world you are from.

Not sure if this will help, but Triathlon Queensland (the state that
hosted the 1994 games) has a results page.  There's nothing from 1994
online, but there is a form you can submit to ask for additional
results.  Perhaps they have access to an offline archive.  Go to:
