Are you looking for infrared LED type? Are you looking for something
along these lines:

Any system will do as long as it fits into a 3/4"x4" tube and can be
operated on a 9V battery. Price will be an important factor. It does
not need to be very sensitive or hight quality.

I like the site you found but the sensors are too expensive for mass
assembly of our product. Can we ask you for one other lead? Thanks

Would a list of wholesalers of sensors, with contact info, suffice as an answer?

It may be that your cheapest solution is custom design, depending on
the specific requirements. Size should be no problem but before
recommendation could be made, several criteria must be defined.

1) What size is the object to be detected?
2) What shape is the object?
3) What material is the object?
4) Is it the same object each time?
5) How far does it move?
6) How much movement do you want to be able to detect?
7) Do you want a movement measurement?
8) What is the ambient light?
9) What is the ambient sound?
10) Where does the 9 volts come from?
11) What form of output is required?
12) Can the sensor be physically connected to the object(s)?
13) What temperature?
14) What environment?
15) Other relevant detail?

If you can provide precise details, it could be designed for you for
reasonable cost. Depends on quantity of course.

The best way is to google it.
U'll find the thing u need.

If u feel the price is too high, I can help u search it in Chinese.
Sensors r good and cheap in China.
