Its really not close to what I was hoping for. I'm more interested in
understanding feature by feature comparison. For instance AIM allows
for file transfer via a peer to peer connection.... but how large of a
file? I'm looking for a little more granularity.

Thanks for looking at this though.

Tomsmail -

As the internet becomes more and more great, it seems as if
communication is the key within all this.
let me briefly give you the pros and cons of each program

AIM-
)pros- talk to anyone with AIM or AOL. Send files as big as 1 Gig
(this also depends on the the other person, do they really wanna
personally send you 1 gig?!) AIM Expressions (which make your IM box
look pretty =P), Sending pictures in the IM BOX. EASY TO USE, and
very user friendly ICON- AOL running Man
)cons- Just recently has AIM decided to Add a built in video chat
add on. This is fairly new still...game sharing featuer uses a
program known for ad/spyware. - ALSO, the new pop up welcome screen
has gotten to big. They also try to install weatherbug..which is just
something that sits on your computer to tell you its hot or cold
outside.. make sure you DONT install this

Yahoo Messanger-
)Pros - talk to anyone on yahoo/geocities. Leave messages for the
person even when they ARENT ONLINE!!! (kind of like email...but
quicker and it pops up as soon as you sign on. VIDEO Streaming has
GREAT compatibility with webcams of all brands and sorts. It also has
a Super Mode, which is only availible rarely, which increase the rate
of streaming. send files, like Aim...has a great game feature which is
alot better than AIMS
)Cons - layout is alot like AIM...but its not that easy to use...and
the icon of a smiling guy is..kinda freaky =\ They also have AIM
Expressions type of thing...but its all ads

MSN messenger-
)CON-
to be honest. I have never used this. one of my friends has it...but
I really dont like M$ products...they have it on startup by default...
i think thats wrong. so i dont use MSN.
)pro-
are there any?

All of these have built in POP email clients. so you can check your
webbased emails or what not through them.

To really choose is to find the people you want to talk to. if the
majority of your online buddies have AOL, but you dont. Stick to aim.
Youll be talking to them in no time. But if they do have aol, but
you prefer YAHOO/MSN your going to have to persuade them to go use
it.

Now if you have friends on all three...theres always the 3rd party
clients that connect you to the best of all worlds. ie. TRILLIAN

I hope this helps. Even if i dont get paid or if i do..just note me
as the one who Answers it if i did =)
thanks so much for the time to read my review
