I hope I can explain this. A rental car costs 119.69 for 7 days....
added on to this is a vehicle license fee recovery of 2.73 and 2.07 a
day surcharge/tirefee of 14.14 which comes to 136.56. Taxes for Dade
county Florida is 7 percent. that is the total taxes to calculate the
above. My question is can the vehicle licnese fee recovery of 2.73 and
the 14.14 surcharge/tirefee be added to the 119.69 for a total of
136.56
x .07
tax 9.56
total 146.12 be correct and these two amounts of 2.73
and 14.14 again be taxed
119.69
x .07
total 8.38 tax
119.69
+ 8.37
= 128.07
+ 2.73 vehicle license recovery fee and 14.14
surcharge 14.14
= 144.94 . I know the difference is miniscule. To
me the above is the same as going to a restaurant. buying 40.00 worth
of drinks at the bar and not paying the bar fee of 40.00 x .07 tax for
42.80 since it will be added to the food bill.I know this is not
correct....anyways any answers....? |
