I swear by plain old tomatoe juice. Having had a dog that was sprayed 3 times in one year, believe me it works... Steph53 |

i had a dog that spent every summer trying to clean out the skunk population. i used to wash her with coffee and then rub the grounds into her fur. it helped a lot. |

There are commercial remedies sold at pet and farm supply stores. Here's one: http://ruralking.com/rko/cart.cgi?PRODUCT=053140027&SPD=XiA597206840EaU |

that is good to know about the coffee, pjt. I was just now looking, and coffee is acidic, like tomatoe juice. http://www.care2.com/channels/solutions/pets/145 "Skunk spray is alkaline" (high ph) So what the remedies must have in common is their low ph. |
