Political Consulting firm needs to update our data base of political
consulting firms such as pollsters, fundraisers, media firms etc as
well as other political consultants. We would supply the current
contact information for each record in our data base approximately 90%
of which have a company name but only 30% have an email address at
all. We need the following contact information confirmed, which should
be correct in 70% of the records except many may be missing an email
address. Contact information we need confirmed or obtained if changed
or not currently listed includes: Firm principle(s) name and title,
company name, address, business phone number, business fax, cell phone
should be confirmed if already listed and email addresses should be
verified or obtained for firm principles. The political consulting
industry uses the internet and in reviewing our records, it appears
that 90-95% of all contacts in our data base have a website which
should provide all the necessary information. In most cases, the
website is not listed in our records and would first need to be
obtained by the researcher. We have approximately 1000 records that
need to be verified or augmented. We are on a tight deadline and
preferred researchers select the number of records they can verify by
midnight Sunday September 12, 2004. These records should be verified
from information obtained from the internet; additional information
will need to be gathered by phone under a separate agreement from
this. We can either send them out for calls from a call center or have
researcher make the calls.
We are providing a CSV file (excel runs it). Researchers are asked to
indicate the number of initial records you would like to attempt
acquiring or verifying the information for and that you believe that
you can complete by midnight Sunday. Submitted verification
information from researchers will be verified by a third party,
including at least 2 from each researcher.

****DEADLINE: Midnight Sunday 12, 2004****

I'd be glad to verify the entire file at the rate specified. The
number of records is not excessive over three days. If you prefer to
spread it among several Researchers, I can personally handle 500
records.

Can we send you 200 tonight and see how it goes. Then we can send more
tomorrow. How do I get the info to you? Margaret

Google Answers insists that all contact be through this interface,
i.e. links to files can be posted here, but our contracts do not allow
us to give out our contact information. Questions that contain
customer contact information are subject to removal, also.

I suggest you post a limited time file link with additional info, or a
website URL.

Unfortunately, it appears that the file is the location on your system
where the file is from, rather than a web-accessible location. You'll
need the base web address plus the filename.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out. I've just been "handed" my
grandbaby for the next two days. I doubt that I can devote the proper
degree and span of attention that this project requires. I don't want
to start something I might not be able to complete on time. I have
notified some of my colleagues about the opportunity. Hopefully, some
of them will be chiming in soon.

If you require another researcher to work on this I can do so.

Hi All!
There are plenty of names to go around! I am trying to figure out how
to upload them to an ftp file so I do not have to post them here. When
I figure it out I will post here--hopefully later today. Thank you
all!!!
