I would like you to put together an inspiring compilation of amazing
facts about the human body.
The content I'm looking for can be broken down into three areas:
1) Amazing facts about the human body - e.g. 'length of this..' and
'number of that..' etc
2) Inspiring facts about how the body deals with massive adversity.
How it recovers and heals itself. How robust it is from the
envoronment, viruses etc.
3) Inspiring facts detailing how incredible the body is at dealing
with what we put it through - like all the junk food, chemicals,
overeating, alcohol, no sleep, and hectic lifestyle we subject it to. How well
it adapts. And generally what a great job it does coping with all the
neglect it gets in the modern lifestyle.
The content will eventually be used in a book, so the info will need
to be from credible sources. The topic of the book is fatloss, and so
facts related more closely to this (how the body deals with food,
exercise etc) will also be very welcome.
If you would like clarification, just ask.
Thanks,
Flguy |

Hi!
In your question, you said you need credible sources. I was able to
find some sources compiling such facts about the human body. There are
numerous facts in one page. It would be a tough task verifying each
and every statement there.
Would just a listing of the websites having this list of amazing facts
be enough as an answer even without the verification?
Thanks!

Yes that would be ok, as long as the websites are credible. Cheers.

Hi!
What would qualify as credible websites? Some websites I found are
just independent websites with people compiling facts. I have already
found about 14 sites with such facts and can still find some more.
I hope this would be ok.
Thanks!

As the info will be used in published material, it's naturally
important that the sources are accurate. So, my inclination is towards
more established sources - educational, other publishers of
information etc. But if you find independant sources that appear
credible then do include them, and I will use my judgement.
But I would be looking for your answer to be made up of mainly more
established sources - rather than all independant.
Thanks.

The content from mistupid.com was dubious. The rest is ok.
I would put this sort of info the first category of my question. Have
you been able to find things to do with part 2) and 3)?
Thanks again..

I haven't found the other information you requested. I think it is
best at the moment to open this question to other researchers who may
have better resources.

Hello flguy-ga,
You might have better luck getting a satisfactory answer to this
question by splitting it up into three separate questions.
Easterangel's comments seem to indicate that some parts of the
questions you've posed are harder than others. Good luck.
