I am looking for a linux application capable of streaming RealText live to a Helix Universal Server (HUS). There is a (old) demo application(DA) for Windows at: http://www.realnetworks.com/resources/toolsplugins/realtextbroadcast.html The sourcecode for this program is in the Real SDK: http://www.realnetworks.com/resources/sdk/index.html (You get a file "rsg2sdk_r4.zip" which contains a directory "rmasdk_6_0/samples/intermed/exlvtext/" with the code.) I was able to compile the application on linux and link it (dynamically) with the libraries of the helix universal libraries "rtlive.so.9.0" and "encnet.so.9.0", but if i start the program, i get a segmentation fault. The available windows executable (DA) is bundled with old RealServer DLLs, but there is no output (or reaction at the HUS) when using this program with a HUS. If it is possible to connect to a HUS with a compiled linux DA, i would like a short walkthrough of the neccessary steps or requirements to set up such a connection and/or a patch for the DA source. |
